Hi Everyone!! It’s September again and I love this month! I always get so excited for my annual Birthday Party Fundraiser and I am so happy to once again announce a new and exciting collaboration with LymeLight Foundation. We have partnered up again to help support children and young adults with their treatment of Lyme disease. Even though my Foundation has taken a step back to re-align our goals I have always wanted to continue the September spirit of giving and I have made sure that it’s packed with prizes for you to win with your donation. You can win cool R.O.C.K.S T- shirts, Hoodies and some awesome prizes from me too! A full, signed discography, a personalized 8x10 and a grand prize Avril swag bag. Excited yet? There’s more. LymeLight Foundation and the work that they do truly is amazing. They help so many children and young adults get the treatment and medications for Lyme disease that they otherwise could not afford. Did you know that only a small percent of people get the early diagnosis and treatment that is so important in fighting the disease? And that most insurance companies do not cover the treatment of chronic Lyme disease? Families are often left on their own to battle the disease often incurring enormous medical debt. My goal this year is to raise $50,000 to provide treatment grants for children and young adults. Please help me by making a donation today and entering to win some amazing prizes! As always, I thank my amazing fans for all of their continued support and I know that we can all help make my Birthday wish come true! Please visit http://lymelight.blueskysweet.com/ to donate and win prizes or by clicking on the link above in my Birthday banner! Good luck everyone and thank you! Xo Avril

    Update from our Rockstar Clubs!

    by The Avril Lavigne Foundation

We just got an awesome update from our Rockstar Club in Hawaii, where kids and teens with disabilities got together for a good time at a camp-wide dance. The event gave participants a way to get involved in an age-appropriate event that many of them might normally miss out on. One of the campers was so excited he said: “I can’t believe this is happening! I’m really doing it! Look I’m slow dancing, with a girl!” Our Rockstar Club teens have also been attending other fun outings this summer like a weekend day camp at Sea Life Park, separate boys and girls slumber parties, a trip to the zoo and a fun bowling trip with their families and friends. A photo from their bowling trip is below.

Our Rockstar Club in Alberta has started using their new adaptive bikes made for anyone to be able to ride – both kids with and without disabilities! Below is a photo of one proud camper from Alberta riding one of the adaptive bikes for the first time ever. A counselor said she truly felt like a Rockstar riding through camp and was offering to sign autographs all day long!

Stay tuned for more fun updates throughout the summer!
